AT SUNSET ANNOUNCE NATIONAL KISS ME HEADLINE TOUR FOR MARCH

Having just finished up a run of shows around the country supporting international heartthrobs R5 and The Vamps, Australia’s hottest new pop rock trio, At Sunset have today announced their own national headline tour to promote their new single, Kiss Me. Set to kick off at Fowlers Live in their hometown of Adelaide on March 12, the tour will then hit Melbourne’s Rubix Warehouse on March 13, Sydney’s The Lair on March 19, Brisbane’s Old Museum on March 20 and will finish up in Perth at HQ on April 2.

Having already picked up a stack of national radio additions across Australia, new single Kiss Me showcases the band’s impressive knack for writing incredibly catchy, guitar-driven pop rock smashes. Lead singer Harrison explains, “Kiss Me is about falling quickly and easily in love with someone to the point that all you want to do is spend every minute of every day having fun with them!”

With well over one million fans on facebook, 250,000 plus followers on twitter and having amassed over five million views on youtube, there’s no wonder everyone is talking about this anthemic pop-rockin’ trio from Adelaide.

Currently on tour in the Philippines, At Sunset are excited to return home to jump straight back on the road to play for fans. “It feels amazing to finally be doing our own headline tour. We’ve been writing and rehearsing for a while now, so we are so ready to get out and perform all of our new tracks to the fans… everyone can expect loud guitars, thumping bass, catchy tunes and a few jokes…. Andrew thinks he’s funny,” laughs Harrison.

2015 was a big year for the band, having been announced as Nova Australia’s Fresh New Discovery, which scored them mentoring by Ed Sheeran, as well as label support to release their debut single. Later in the year, thanks to the incredible support from their fans in the voting-based competition, they were recognised as the first ever winners of MTV Brand New Australia. And with their new single and national headline tour dates just around the corner, 2016 is set to be an even bigger year!

At Sunset are brothers, Harrison and Andrew Kantarias, and their good friend, Tom Jay Williams.

MELBOURNE MUSIC BANK WINNER, JADE ALICE ANNOUNCES DEBUT SINGLE, KICK DRUM

Winner of Bank of Melbourne’s Melbourne Music Bank 2015, Jade Alice, today announced the release of her debut single, Kick Drum. The single will be launched at a gig at Shebeen on February 18 and comes to life with a beautiful performance-based video clip.

Bank of Melbourne’s flagship competition to uncover Victoria’s musical talent was an overwhelming success in its second year, attracting hundreds of submissions. Four finalists were voted by the public from twelve semi-finalists, with Jade Alice crowned the winner at a spectacular finale on the stage at Arts Centre Melbourne’s State Theatre. The artists were judged by an expert panel featuring campaign ambassador Ella Hooper, Bank of Melbourne Head of Brand and Marketing Jac Phillips, Beat Magazine Editor Cara Williams, PBS Homebrew host Maddy Mac, 123 Agency Director Damo Costin, Varrasso PR Director Frank Varrasso and Manager Chris Robinson.

Offering insight into the quirky, fun and incredibly catchy song, Jade Alice explains, “The melody for the song ‘Kick Drum’ actually came to me in a dream! The song is about a feeling of uncontrollable happiness; a feeling I hope resonates with others when they listen to it. The greatest reward for me as a musician is evoking the same emotion in people that I feel when I’m writing the song.”

The video for Kick Drum is a performance-based clip featuring a number of lush sets and narrative animations.

Studying music and music performance in year 12, Jade Alice has moved into Interactive Composition at the Victorian College of the Arts. She counts artists Kimbra, Joni Mitchell and Broods among her influences.

HOLY HOLY ANNOUNCE NATIONAL TOUR FOR JANUARY

Holy Holy have today announced a national tour for January set to kick off in Sydney at Oxford Art Factory on the 15th, moving through to Newcastle, Perth, Adelaide, The Corner in Melbourne and finishing up at the Triffid in Brisbane on January 30.

And as an added bonus, the band will be giving away a free track to everyone who buys a ticket to one of the shows, an album, or an item of merch between now and the beginning of the A HEROINE tour. The song is called The Constitution and was an original contender for the When The Storms Would Come album.

The home turf tour announce lands hot off the heels of the band’s second European tour where they recently released their critically acclaimed debut album, When The Storms Would Come. Stunning reviews have been flooding in, including a 4 star review in The Sun calling the record “A special debut… something truly blissful.”

After attending their sold out London show, The Huffington Post said Holy Holy are “re-awakening their genre in an accurate and sonically spectacular fashion… Holy Holy are modern, indie DIY travellers who carry dream pop loveliness off with the big riffs and solos of a now almost forgotten time with mesmerising aplomb.” Liam Gallagher also came along, and as big fans, the band were incredibly honoured and delighted to meet him after the show.

With an already epic year under their belts, Holy Holy have notched up another bunch of highlights with Oscar Dawson and Tim Carroll announced as the first two people from one band to make the longlist for the prestigious APRA PDA Songwriting Awards, and Tim winning the coveted award last week. Triple j recently added their 6th consecutive song, A Heroine to rotation, the band are on the bill for Falls and Mountain Sounds Festivals over summer, and the album has been announced on the longlist for The AMP (Australian Music Prize). Add in Holy Holy’s recent extensive, sold-out national album tour of Aus, their killer set at Splendour In The Grass and their two European/UK tours and it’s been a year well worth writing home about.

Joinging Holy Holy on the A Heroine tour will be Australian synth-pop starlet, Olympia and Canadian alternative folk pop band, The Franklin Electric. It’s been an exciting year for Olympia with the release of three singles, support slots with Alpine, Lamb & Paul Dempsey, glowing media praise and anticipation growing ahead of her album release next year. Similarly, The Franklin Electric have had huge success in their homeland of Canada over the last 18 months, selling out their own headline shows, as well as supporting City & Colour and Half Moon Runs on international tours.

Holy Holy is fronted by the songwriting team, vocalist/composer Timothy Carroll and guitarist/composer Oscar Dawson. They are joined on the road by permanent drummer Ryan Strathie, Graham Ritchie & their producer Matt redlich on keys.

“A musical tour de force from start to finish…When The Storms Would Come sounds like a career-defining set from an established act rather than an opening statement.” UK Songwriting Magazine, 4/5 stars
