HANSAA ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE PRIMAVERA WITH SOSO AND A.CHAL

Following his massively successful debut single Need To Know featuring vocals from heavyweight Oliver Tank, Aussie born, LA-raised Hansaa is back with an elusive new single Primavera, produced alongside LA duo soso (30 Seconds To Mars, Anna Lunoe) and featuring the irresistible vocals of Peruvian, LA-based RnB star A.CHAL, out October 13.

2017 has been Hansaa’s year. The man behind it all, Vinay Matta, is on a roll; his debut single Need To Know has had over 100,000 streams on Spotify in the past two months – and all the right ears are listening.

Primavera occupies the space between hip hop, RnB and electronic music; Drake-like vocal melodies are spun effortlessly by A.CHAL atop a smokey arrangement, propelled by clever bass lines that bounce throughout and seamlessly cool production. Piano samples add a soft, organic element to the track, and maybe the piano is a surprising addition – but fans of Hansaa will know by now to expect the unexpected, particularly after the jaw-dropping guitar solo that tore through Need To Know. Vinay is pretty stoked with the new track, as he explains the meaning behind it, “Primavera translates to Springtime. In a nutshell, the song is about trying to rekindle the memories of a past relationship, yet coming to the conclusion that unfortunately, no flame is going to spark.”

Hansaa has a proven ear for the extraordinary, with this feature from vocalist A.CHAL further demonstrating his skill at curating the perfect track. Vinay is a huge fan of A.CHAL’s work, as he reflects on the first time he heard the artist’s work, “I was hanging out with a girl I used to date in freshman year, and she was showing me A.CHAL’s debut album Gazi – and it caught my ear straight away. soso and myself ended up emailing his management the instrumental and he was vibing…A.CHAL is an artist that intertwines the hypnotic and the mysterious elements of songwriting, and takes you into a dream-sequence of a person reflecting on their past in a corrupt city.”

With an impressive haul of killer tunes sitting pretty in their back pocket, Hansaa and soso have recently been in the studio, teaming up with US indie rock buzz band Foreign Air. Splitting his time between Australia and adopted homeland Los Angeles, Vinay enthuses, “I’ve been spending a lot of time in Sydney with my dad and my sister, and in the studio. I’m just ready to release more dope music.”

Primavera is out October 13.

EVANESCENCE ANNOUNCE AUSTRALIAN TOUR: SYNTHESIS LIVE NEW ALBUM SYNTHESIS – OUT NOVEMBER 10

Two-time GRAMMY award-winners Evanescence have today announced an Australian east coast tour Synthesis Live With Orchestras – presented by TEG Live and Sony Music Entertainment – to celebrate the band’s fourth studio album Synthesis, out November 10.

Set to deliver a truly transcendent experience, Synthesis Live will see the band collaborate with world class Australian symphony orchestras alongside electronic programming. As part of the global Synthesis Live tour, the Australian dates will kick off at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra on 11 February, moving on to the Sydney Opera House for two performances with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra on 13 and 14 February, before culminating in Melbourne at Rod Laver Arena with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra on 16 February.

“I’m really looking forward to bringing this new and different show to Australia,” says Amy Lee, “Playing the Sydney Opera House is something I’ve dreamed about all my life. I remember taking the ferry over to Manly during days off on past tours with the band, and looking over at the legendary structure, saying ‘One day, we’re going to play there!’ I can’t believe it’s finally going to be a reality. We’re all very excited about it.”

Not simply a ‘greatest hits’ album, Synthesis takes a selection of Evanescence’s three previous studio releases along with two new songs, and reimagines them with brand-new recordings. Synthesis is an amalgamation of Amy Lee’s masterful singing and piano playing, supported by her band, a full symphony orchestra performing arrangements by long-time collaborator David Campbell as well as an array of electronic music programming and effects.

As their evolution continues, the band is excited to bring Synthesis Live to Australia, performing the record start-to-finish with the expertise and skill of the country’s finest Symphony orchestras for each show. “The recording is very much tied to the live experience we want to create,” says Lee. “I’m anxiously excited to play some much more involved, challenging piano for the show, and to focus on singing live more like the way I do in the studio.”

Australia holds a huge fan base for Evanescence with the band having in excess of 700,000 ARIA accredited album sales over their career so far.

Evanescence is lead singer-songwriter and pianist Amy Lee, bassist Tim McCord, drummer Will Hunt, lead guitarist/backing vocalist Troy McLawhorn and guitarist Jen Majura.

Synthesis will be released on November 10.

First single, Lick My Wounds perfectly sets the foundation for the theme of the rest of the album. The contagiously upbeat track with refreshing pop tendencies highlights Pope’s growth and desire to challenge the alt-country/folk pop roots that drove his success.

Pope’s new album, Calling Off The Dogs (out now through his very own Brooklyn Basement Records) sees Pope further extending his talents and creating new, fresh sounds and it was this latest offering that made him an artist to watch at SXSW this year, with many people eager to not only witness his astounding vocals, but also his capabilities as a writer, composer and producer.

Off the back of SXSW and a US tour, Pope is thrilled to be heading back to Australia and performing alongside his full band, enthusing, “The people, the culture, the food, the wildlife…I love everything about Australia and I’m so excited to come back and visit my fans down there.” He’ll be performing songs from his decade-long career as well as his latest works that are sure to challenge and inspire music makers and music lovers. Supporting Pope on his tour is The Cam Nacson Band, who also opened for his last Australian tour in 2012.

Pope is a musical Renaissance man, writing, recording, composing, managing and igniting his own career. He burst on the scene in 2005 when he released the hugely successful breakthrough single ‘A Drop In The Ocean’, which has since received over 30 million views on Youtube and 25 million streams on Spotify.
