NATIONAL TOUR PROCEEDING AS SCHEDULED IN JUNE/JULY + SHOWS IN SYD / MEL / ADE / PER NOW TO BE FULLY SEATED FULL + NEWCASTLE SHOW ADDED DUE TO FAN DEMAND + SOPHOMORE ALBUM ‘CRY FOREVER’ FOR APRIL 30 RELEASE

Homegrown multi ARIA award winning, singer-songwriter Amy Shark has today emphatically confirmed that her Cry Forever national tour will proceed as scheduled in June/July and also announced that a brand new Newcastle Entertainment Centre show on Friday 11 June will be added due to the huge demand from local Newcastle fans. Tickets will go on sale for the Newcastle show at 11am on Friday 16 April from www.amyshark.com.

In what will be one of the first arena tours globally since COVID-19 struck last year, Amy has committed to deliver for her fans and do whatever it takes for the national Cry Forever tour to go ahead as scheduled. To do so, fully reserved seating will be implemented at Amy’s shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, with existing ticketholders able to convert their standing floor tickets to allocated seats on the floor. And fans will be happy to know that the shows will feature full arena production for what will be a true world class event.

“It’s been a very hard time for live music, both for artists and fans, with many tours having to postpone or cancel for reasons out of their control. This album is very important to me, so making these shows happen is my number one priority. I know you have been looking forward to this tour and these shows as much as I have, so we have made some changes which has involved converting the standing floor tickets to reserved seating at some of the shows to ensure we are aligned with the COVID-safe guidelines. By making these changes, it means the shows will go ahead,” explains Amy. “I was willing to do whatever it took to get this tour on the road. I’m so excited to play my biggest shows to date and am currently putting together a rather impressive show for you!”

The CRY FOREVER tour will be Amy Shark’s most ambitious live undertaking yet in some of the largest venues Australia has to offer, delivering a brand new show with A1 production and musicianship that is set to bring her new album to life. Armed with a bunch of new songs and some impressive ARIA wins (including ‘Best Australian Live Act’ which she picked up for her last tour, along with ‘Best Pop Release’ for ‘Everybody Rise’), the Gold Coast local is no stranger to the big stage and sure knows how to put on an impressive show, and with support from exciting newcomers Evie Irie and Teenage Joans – this is a tour not to be missed.

The tour will now kick off at Newcastle Entertainment Centre on June 11, before moving to Qudos Bank Arena (Sydney) on June 12, Rod Laver Arena (Melbourne) on June 18, Wrest Point Lawns (Hobart) June 19, HOTA (Gold Coast) June 25, Riverstage (Brisbane) June 26, Adelaide Entertainment Centre July 1 and will finish up in Perth at RAC Arena on July 3.

Set for release later this month, the new album CRY FOREVER is the follow up to Amy Shark’s 2018 #1 ARIA Album Of The Year, LOVE MONSTER and is available to pre-order now via Wonderlick/Sony Music Entertainment. Written and recorded between the US, UK, New Zealand and Shark’s home studio on the Gold Coast, her exceptional songwriting is on full display here, co-producing with A-List producers: Dann Hume (ARIA 2018 & 2019 Producer Of The year), M-Phazes (Ruel, Eminem), Joel Little (Lorde, Taylor Swift), Jamie Hartman (Lewis Capaldi, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man), Dan Wilson (Adele, Leon Bridges) and Sammy Witte (Harry Styles, King Princess).

Tickets to the CRY FOREVER tour are on sale now from www.amyshark.com with the exclusion of Newcastle Entertainment Centre which will go on sale at 11am on Friday April 16. The tour will be held with a commitment to a COVID Safe environment.  TEG LIVE will work closely with and comply with all requirements of the public health authorities in respect of these shows.

CRY FOREVER is set for release on April 30, 2021 and is available to pre-order now via Wonderlick/Sony Music Entertainment Australia.

TIMOTHY WOLF ANNOUNCES DEBUT SINGLE ‘IN YOUR ARMS AGAIN’ AND LAUNCH SHOWS AT NORTHCOTE SOCIAL CLUB ON MAY 5 & 6

Introspective soulful blues with a hint of ‘I’m ready to boogie’, Timothy Wolf is the thrilling new kid on the block, today sharing his extraordinary debut single In Your Arms Again, an alluring ode to long term love, released today. Following an enormous debut sell out show at The Night Cat Fitzroy last month, Timothy Wolf and his boisterous nine-piece band The Howlers are set to step it up with their single launch show at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club on May 6, with support from Guthrie.

Recorded in the tropical hinterland of Byron Bay at Bernard Fanning and Nick DiDia’s famed La Cueva Studios, produced and mixed by Dan Frizza (The Waifs, Gurumul, Ash Grunwald) and mastered by Michael Lynch (John Butler Trio), In Your Arms Again perfectly blends blues and soul, and immediately asserts that old-soul Timothy Wolf has indeed arrived. This is the song we didn’t know we needed from this hugely exciting new artist. In Your Arms Again is buoyed by gentle and restrained horns, and coupled with smooth electric guitar and moving keys that perfectly complement that stunning Timothy Wolf vocal, a falsetto on display that would make Al Green swoon.

Speaking on the recording at La Cueva, the singer songwriter says, “It was such a special time away. We didn’t know we were within the eye of the Covid 19 hurricane or that we’d head straight back into a gruelling stage 4 Melbourne lockdown. Timing came together for us perfectly as we were gifted the opportunity to hide away in the Byron Bay Hinterland, connect as the musical family we’d always seen the potential for and bring these songs to life.”

Growing up listening to 50s soul and rockabilly and as a kid learning songs in his bedroom by Otis Redding, Johnny Cash and Etta James, Timothy Wolf explains, “It inspires me that they came from a time where they literally founded and defined the rules of balladry and songwriting. I think ‘In Your Arms Again’ is pretty true to some of these classic influences whilst lending itself to a contemporary soundscape. I’ve been quite ambitious pushing the boundaries yet trying to serve this song with the influences it deserves whilst also incorporating the sound and identity myself and The Howlers have to offer.” He further insights, “The song comes from a dreamy, old soul, rosy-eyed state. I’m lucky enough for all of my grandparents to have had 50+ year marriages. This song highlights the commitment relationships like this take whilst also drawing from within my own rosy-eyed beginnings. There’s also a chance it might have come from one of the weddings I’ve played trying to support my original project.”

Filmed by Shoelace Creative (Didirri, Kim Churchill, Hollow Coves), the video for In Your Arms Again follows Timothy Wolf + The Howlers at their sold out debut show at The Night Cat last month. Wolf explains, “It is important to me that people can get an idea of what to expect at a Timothy Wolf + The Howlers show, so we turned our debut show at The Night Cat into a film clip. It will also serve as a beautiful life cataloguing moment of our humble beginnings. Our debut show with so many of our dearest friends, playing a song written in my bedroom.”

With a stack of new music to back up this thrilling debut single, and a vibrant show that will wow and set tongues wagging, we suggest you grab your tickets, strap on your dancing shoes and stay tuned for an early look into the mischief that is Timothy Wolf + The Howlers.

Timothy Wolf + the Howlers are Tim Richardson (vocals, choral harmonies, piano, Wurlitzer, electric rhythm guitar), James Difabrizio (lead electric guitar), Jesse Richardson (trumpet), Ayden Thorne (bass and saxophone), Graham King (drums and percussion), Piper Bennett-Swinley (vocals), Jessie Singleton (vocals), Lawson Kennard (bass guitar) and Barry White (keys).

Nkechi Anele, Triple J – “Your falsetto is unworldly and your voice by itself is so f&$*ing pure – you’re a unicorn.”

It’s rare for an artist to knock it out of the park so soundly on their debut single, but with things happening so fast for Timothy Wolf, it’s hardly any surprise that months of hard work and rising acclaim have resulted in something like the stellar “In Your Arms Again” Rolling Stone

It’s a song that is carried by Wolf’s stratospheric falsetto, with chocolatey brass lacquering every word. ‘In Your Arms Again’ builds and builds, before unleashing into a huge finale” Music Feeds

PETE MURRAY’S NEW EP ‘THE NIGHT’ RELEASED TODAY + ADDED TO BLUESFEST 2021 LINEUP

The quiet achiever of Australian music, Pete Murray has today released his anticipated new EP, The Night, and this week announced he’ll be joining the Bluesfest 2021 lineup alongside Tash Sultana, The Teskey Brothers, Ocean Alley and more. After impressing with Found My Place, his driving song about offering wisdom to your kids, and backing it up with the tenderness and beauty of the introspective If We Never Dance Again, Pete is ready to share his masterful six track EP.

“It’s always exciting releasing new music, especially when you are super happy with the way the record sounds. I have really enjoyed the writing and the recording process of this record,” Pete says.

Taking sonic inspiration from artists such as JJ Cale and Frank Ocean, The Night is uplifting, affecting and loved up, showcasing this exceptionally gifted and seasoned songsmith at his very best. The Night sees Pete trialing new techniques seven albums deep in his career, revelling in co-writing abroad.

Pete explains, “I had only done co-writing once before, so this was still a new experience for me and one that I was quite nervous about. I went to LA, Nashville and England and I knew I would be writing with experienced writers, so I didn’t want to let anyone down. It all turned out to be an amazing experience and I was really happy with the songs that were written over there.”

Recorded in Pete’s own Kicks Iron Studio in Byron Bay with his good mate Garrett Kato (Kyle Lionhart, Ziggy Alberts, Pierce Brothers), The Night exudes contentment and warmth and is a hugely personal offering from the notoriously private family man. Inspired by his family and home life, Pete explains, “When I’m in writing mode, I tend to write about real life situations that people can relate to and also take motivation from.”

Additional to his newly announced Bluesfest performance, Pete will be playing the new tracks, as well as crowd favourites at the upcoming By The C Festival dates, Sunset Piazza and Crowd Surf through March.
