RÜFÜS DROP NEW SINGLE ‘SAY A PRAYER FOR ME’ + ANNOUNCE US LABEL DEAL + NEW ALBUM ‘BLOOM’ OUT NOW
With just one more sleep until their highly anticipated sophomore album Bloom hits the shelves, RÜFÜS have revealed their sharp new single, Say A Prayer For Me, and announced a sought-after spot on the Coachella 2016 lineup and an exciting new partnership with Foreign Family Collective in America.
Dive in and indulge in the luscious, moody soundscape that is Say A Prayer For Me, a standout single from the already critically acclaimed, Bloom. Nestled between previous singles You Were Right, Like an Animal and 9-minute pièce de résistance, Innerbloom, Say A Prayer For Me presents the most mature sound we’ve heard from RÜFÜS yet. In its entirety, Bloom reflects this evolution; a masterful example of indie house music done exactly right.
But what is good dance music without a killer live act to boot? RÜFÜS have got it covered – the Falls Festival headliners have just been announced as a part of the coveted Coachella lineup for 2016. Their success in North America continues to turn heads as RÜFÜS (or RÜFÜS Du Sol as they’re known over there) and Sweat It Out have this week announced their partnership with Foreign Family Collective (the label owned and curated by Odesza) for the release of both Say A Prayer For Me and Bloom in North America.
“We were having so much fun touring North America with Odesza and the Foreign Family Collective (FFC) team in November,” says Jon George (keyboards) of the partnership. “They really looked after us and one night they asked us to play our album demos for them and the FFC signing came from there. It feels right to be working with a family orientated indie-label in North America, it’s a similar set up to what we have in Australia with Sweat It Out.”
Bloom is set for release on January 22, 2016
“Welcome to the soundtrack of RÜFÜS’ ascension to being one of our biggest electronic acts” Herald Sun Album Of The Week
“It’s safe to say RÜFÜS have created something a lot of their peers will look to as inspiration for several summers to come” Beat Magazine
“This alternative dance group creates an unclassifiable genre of electronic music as they are always reshaping and evolving their sound” Huffington Post
“RÜFÜS fans and electronic folk need not to worry, because Bloom is as stunning as the painterly cover art that envelops it” Music Feeds
“‘You Were Right’ crests and falls like a warm Indian Ocean wave, with gently synthesized screeches and ululations in the background, as if it were the soundtrack to a rainforest dance party” SPIN
BOY & BEAR ‘LIMIT OF LOVE’ DEBUTS AT #1 ON ARIA ALBUM CHART
As Boy & Bear prepare for their live shows in Europe and the USA, the much loved Australian band are celebrating their second #1 ARIA Album with ‘LIMIT OF LOVE’ skyrocketing to the top of the ARIA ALBUM CHART this week.
Surprising their fans last week with an impromptu mini-gig in Sydney’s CBD, Boy & Bear performed new songs off the album showing why Limit Of Love has been receiving great praise around the country. Their acoustic set also included classic songs from their double-platinum Moonfire album and the #1 ARIA Album Harlequin Dream leaving the crowd with a taste of what’s to come on their National ‘Limit Of Love’ tour early 2016.

“Another successful album in Australia” Craig Mathieson, SMH/THE AGE
“This album captures a band at the height of their powers, both as live performers and collective composers this time around “ Speaker TV
“Boy & Bear capture the essence of Australia in music that is earnest and authentic, which rarely fails to evoke emotion” Howl & Echoes
“A stripped back record that cuts to the heart of what has brought them critical and commercial acclaim” Beat Magazine
Written together as a full band and recorded live to tape with Ethan Johns (Ryan Adams, Kings of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs), the five- time ARIA winners recorded their third studio album Limit Of Love in the inspirational surroundings of Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studio.
Their first single released from the album, Walk the Wire was instantly added to Triple J (reaching #1 Most Played) and continues to be supported by the National Broadcaster as well as the Triple M Network. In addition, the hilarious and somewhat out-of-character official video has become a band favourite.
Limit of Love is a recording that is less about fine-tuning everything to the nth-degree, and more about capturing a band at the height of their powers in an honest, organic way. It’s an approach most modern bands would be too scared to try, but for Boy & Bear, that leap of faith has proven to be a very successful masterstroke.

Written together as a full band and recorded live to tape with Ethan Johns (Ryan Adams, Kings of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs), Boy & Bears third studio album Limit Of Love is out today. Recorded in the inspirational surroundings of Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studio, Limit Of Love has already been met with great praise across the country.
The first single released from the album, Walk the Wire, fuelled by a gritty guitar and synth groove was instantly added to Triple J (reaching #1 Most Played) and the Triple M Network. Driving the success of the song at radio and online has been the hilarious and somewhat out-of-character video for Walk The Wire, directed by award winners Darcy Prendergast and Josh Thomas from the Oh Yeah Wow, (Goyte, The Paper Kites, Hermitude).
A live video of first and current single Walk the Wire was recently filmed and recorded at Sydney’s Studio 301 giving fans a sneak peek of the outstanding and reputable live performance of the Sydney 5-piece.
Anyone who has seen five-time ARIA winners Boy & Bear perform will attest to their power as a live outfit. With three full-length albums and hundreds of hours of gigs under their belt, the Sydney band will also be taking their live show to Europe and the USA next month with the Australian National ‘Limit Of Love’ Album Tour to follow early 2016.
