GEORGIA FAIR ANNOUNCE RUN OF SHOWS TO PROMOTE NEW ALBUM, TRAPPED FLAME

Australian folk rock duo, Georgia Fair have announced show dates to support the release of their new album, Trapped Flame. Shows are set to kick off at Howler (Melbourne) on November 29 and Hibernian House (Sydney) on November 30 and December 1.
Having just finished up national tours with The Paper Kites and Jae Laffer, Georgia Fair are excited to hit the road for a few headline shows to promote their new material. “Playing live is a big part of our creative calling and is always something that feels worth while and satisfying. Playing on our familiar home turf where we cut our teeth is still a joy and we continue to find more pockets of beauty around the country,” enthuses Wilson.

HAMISH ANDERSON ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE ‘WINTER’ ALONGSIDE SYD, MELB & NZ SHOW DATES

Melbourne’s newly discovered indie talent – vocalist, guitarist and prolific songwriter, Hamish Anderson has announced the release of his new single, Winter alongside shows at Revolver Upstairs (Melbourne) on November 20, his first ever New Zealand show at Tabac Bar (Auckland) on Nov 26 and Brighton Up Bar (Sydney) on November 27.
Earlier this year Anderson impressed the music industry and dramatically grew his national fan base with the release of his debut single, Howl and self-titled EP which features a host of notable musicians including members of Foo Fighters, The Wallflowers and Angus & Julia Stone.
Rated 5/5 by JJJ’s Amelia Chappelow, new single Winter is a hauntingly beautiful ballad that shows elegant restraint and maturity well beyond Anderson’s youthful twenty-two years. With a tender melody and pretty folk guitar gently driving the song, it’s Anderson’s sensitive vocal delivery that steals the show. Originally written as a poem, Anderson explains, “I wrote Winter when I was seventeen… it was written as a goodbye… about knowing something is over and having to move on.” He goes on to say, “I’m really excited to be showcasing a different side of the EP as the first single Howl peddled my full band sound.”
The video clip for Winter was filmed by director James Base who also filmed the clip for Anderson’s debut single, Howl. “We decided to really strip things back and try and do a very raw video that was a one-take performance of the song in front of a group of friends at one of their houses in Melbourne. I wanted the video to be live so it would have an authentic feel to it and capture the real emotions of the song,” explains Anderson.
Having made a name for himself across the local scene for his impressive live show that encompasses a mix of blues, rock and folk with moments of loud, electric blues-soaked songs as well as delicate acoustic balladry, Anderson comes armed with a host of noteworthy tunes and an impressive songwriting and vocal ripeness. Especially thrilled to be taking his live show on the road to New Zealand, Anderson enthuses, “We got some really great feedback about the EP over in New Zealand and were invited to play a show supporting an artist called Ezra Vine who is getting a lot of buzz over there. I’m excited to be playing in front of a new audience in a country I’ve never been to before and to be taking the music to audiences outside of Australia.”

“When the smoky, raw and gritty guitar comes slinking towards you and an almost eerie vocal joins the mix, you’ll hear a voice that sounds like it has already experienced a lot.” Ara Jansen – The West Australian

COSENTINO CALLS FOR NEW PARTNER IN FINAL EPISODE OF THREE-PART TV SPECIAL ON SEVEN

Cosentino steps off the dance floor to find a new partner in his jaw-dropping finale special on Wednesday November 20 at 7.30pm on Channel Seven.

Grand Illusionist and Dancing With The Stars contestant, Cosentino, has received more than 400 video applications from people wanting to be his assistant. The flood of entries came after he announced his latest stunt requires a volunteer whom he has never met before.

In this finale episode of The Magic, The Mystery, The Madness, Cosentino says he will hypnotise the winning applicant in preparation for his most puzzling stunt to date – to levitate a complete stranger who will float on nothing but thin air.

Equally confounding is Cosentino’s plan to be locked inside a wooden box at the base of a public concrete skateboarding bowl. With no possible trapdoors, or other escape options, he will be surrounded by public bystanders as he attempts to free himself without touching any of the locks.

Cosentino’s off-stage action continues as he ventures in to public bars to challenge doubters and skeptics. With his back turned and eyes closed, Cosentino attempts to mind-read the taste on the lips of volunteers who sip different flavoured drinks.

Revealing his softer side, Cosentino visits his former high school and recounts his childhood struggle with literacy. His teacher recalls how this shy and introverted teenager transformed himself into a confident, spell binding performer.

The Magic, The Mystery, The Madness: Part Three airs Wednesday November 20 at 7.30pm on Channel Seven.

Meanwhile Cosentino continues to make his way around the country with his epic The Magic, The Mystery, the Madness national tour, with shows set to dazzle Sydney audiences this weekend at The Star on November 16 and 17; Melbourne at The Palais on November 22 and 23, rounding out the tour in Adelaide at the Entertainment Centre on November 30.

Limited tickets are still available to all remaining shows through www.cosentino.com.au
