NATIONAL TOUR PROCEEDING AS SCHEDULED IN JUNE/JULY + SHOWS IN SYD / MEL / ADE / PER NOW TO BE FULLY SEATED FULL + NEWCASTLE SHOW ADDED DUE TO FAN DEMAND + SOPHOMORE ALBUM ‘CRY FOREVER’ FOR APRIL 30 RELEASE

Homegrown multi ARIA award winning, singer-songwriter Amy Shark has today emphatically confirmed that her Cry Forever national tour will proceed as scheduled in June/July and also announced that a brand new Newcastle Entertainment Centre show on Friday 11 June will be added due to the huge demand from local Newcastle fans. Tickets will go on sale for the Newcastle show at 11am on Friday 16 April from www.amyshark.com.

In what will be one of the first arena tours globally since COVID-19 struck last year, Amy has committed to deliver for her fans and do whatever it takes for the national Cry Forever tour to go ahead as scheduled. To do so, fully reserved seating will be implemented at Amy’s shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, with existing ticketholders able to convert their standing floor tickets to allocated seats on the floor. And fans will be happy to know that the shows will feature full arena production for what will be a true world class event.

“It’s been a very hard time for live music, both for artists and fans, with many tours having to postpone or cancel for reasons out of their control. This album is very important to me, so making these shows happen is my number one priority. I know you have been looking forward to this tour and these shows as much as I have, so we have made some changes which has involved converting the standing floor tickets to reserved seating at some of the shows to ensure we are aligned with the COVID-safe guidelines. By making these changes, it means the shows will go ahead,” explains Amy. “I was willing to do whatever it took to get this tour on the road. I’m so excited to play my biggest shows to date and am currently putting together a rather impressive show for you!”

The CRY FOREVER tour will be Amy Shark’s most ambitious live undertaking yet in some of the largest venues Australia has to offer, delivering a brand new show with A1 production and musicianship that is set to bring her new album to life. Armed with a bunch of new songs and some impressive ARIA wins (including ‘Best Australian Live Act’ which she picked up for her last tour, along with ‘Best Pop Release’ for ‘Everybody Rise’), the Gold Coast local is no stranger to the big stage and sure knows how to put on an impressive show, and with support from exciting newcomers Evie Irie and Teenage Joans – this is a tour not to be missed.

The tour will now kick off at Newcastle Entertainment Centre on June 11, before moving to Qudos Bank Arena (Sydney) on June 12, Rod Laver Arena (Melbourne) on June 18, Wrest Point Lawns (Hobart) June 19, HOTA (Gold Coast) June 25, Riverstage (Brisbane) June 26, Adelaide Entertainment Centre July 1 and will finish up in Perth at RAC Arena on July 3.

Set for release later this month, the new album CRY FOREVER is the follow up to Amy Shark’s 2018 #1 ARIA Album Of The Year, LOVE MONSTER and is available to pre-order now via Wonderlick/Sony Music Entertainment. Written and recorded between the US, UK, New Zealand and Shark’s home studio on the Gold Coast, her exceptional songwriting is on full display here, co-producing with A-List producers: Dann Hume (ARIA 2018 & 2019 Producer Of The year), M-Phazes (Ruel, Eminem), Joel Little (Lorde, Taylor Swift), Jamie Hartman (Lewis Capaldi, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man), Dan Wilson (Adele, Leon Bridges) and Sammy Witte (Harry Styles, King Princess).

Tickets to the CRY FOREVER tour are on sale now from www.amyshark.com with the exclusion of Newcastle Entertainment Centre which will go on sale at 11am on Friday April 16. The tour will be held with a commitment to a COVID Safe environment.  TEG LIVE will work closely with and comply with all requirements of the public health authorities in respect of these shows.

CRY FOREVER is set for release on April 30, 2021 and is available to pre-order now via Wonderlick/Sony Music Entertainment Australia.

ULTIMATE AUSSIE ALT ROCK FESTIVAL SPRING LOADED SET TO THRILL AUS WITH NINE COLOSSAL SHOWS IN 2021

After the blockbuster success of the inaugural festival in Queensland pre-covid, Empire Touring is elated to announce Spring Loaded is back and larger than ever, declaring a triumphant return to live music with nine festival dates set to rock around Australia in a bid to pay homage to some of the country’s most beloved festivals gone by including Big Day Out and Homebake. With a colossal lineup dripping in 90s Aussie alt rock nostalgia, 2021’s shows boast a haul of the decade’s most celebrated acts, including Grinspoon, You Am I, Regurgitator, Jebediah, Magic Dirt, Frenzal Rhomb, Custard, The Fauves, The Meanies, Tumbleweed, Screamfeeder, Caligula and MC Lindsay ‘The Doctor’ McDougall.

Set to kick off in Sydney On The Lawn at Royal Randwick on May 8, the massive festival will then head up to Cairns, before moving on to Sandstone Point Hotel Bribie Island, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Darwin Amphitheatre, Gosford Entertainment Grounds, Stuart Park Wollongong, Red Hill Auditorium in Perth and will wrap in Victoria on November 27.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday March 24 at 10am local time.

Thrilled to be on the bill, You Am I’s Tim Roger’s explains, “It’s kinda unavoidable that nostalgia surrounds these shows, but the past year I’ve heard new music from most of our friends here that is as vital and visceral as any they’ve done in the past, which makes these potential shows all the more thrilling.” Not one to mince words, Rogers goes on to offer some solid tips for punters, ordering, “Dress up, turn up, muck up!”

Stoked at the opportunity to get the band back together after what was a long 2020 for everyone the world over, Grinspoon’s Phil Jamieson says, “I’m terribly excited to be playin’ with Grinspoon at Spring Loaded. Since FireFight we have barely stepped onto stage, let alone seen each other.”

The man who masterminded this bodacious opportunity for us all to relive our youth and celebrate the return of live music, Empire’s Marc Christowski says, “Having been at various Big Day Outs and Homebakes over the years, it is a massive buzz for us to produce Spring Loaded. Bringing together such an amazing lineup that will go to every corner of the country, flying the flag of indie rock is a dream come true.”

Covering all bases, the festival will be bustling with craft beer and an enviable collection of the locale’s cherry-picked food trucks. Spring Loaded is a fully licensed 18+ event, strictly no BYO food or alcohol. The shows are outdoor concerts and will go ahead rain, hail or shine. No tables, tents, sun shelters or umbrellas are permitted, punters are urged to bring ponchos/raincoats and gumboots if rain is forecast. Picnic rugs and low camp chairs are permitted, as are sealed bottles of water, and there will be water refill stations. And this killer event will be taken indoors to Adelaide – expect all the festival vibes with no weather issues.

After an unprecedented write off for live music in 2020, don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the return of the festival and the greatest era of the indie alt rock scene in Australia, and come and relive the soundtrack of your youth live at Spring Loaded in 2021.

Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday March 24 at 10am local time, with a presale offered to Telstra customers from Thursday March 18 at 10am local time to Sunday March 21 at 10pm AEDT. There will be a My Ticketek and Oztix presale from Monday March 22 at 10am local time. VIP tickets will be available for the Just Ace Place VIP Bar offering a premium viewing area, exclusive VIP entry, private bar and food area.

The Spring Loaded festival dates will be held with a commitment to a COVID Safe environment.  Festival organisers will work closely with and comply with all requirements of the public health authorities in respect of these shows. If any shows are required to be postponed, a postponement date will be announced and punters will be eligible for a full refund if they are unable to make the new date.

PIERCE BROTHERS SHARE NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO ‘BROTHER’ FROM UPCOMING ALBUM ‘INTO THE GREAT UNKNOWN’ SET FOR RELEASE MARCH 5 + ANNOUNCE VICTORIAN REGIONAL TOUR

Pierce Brothers have shared their single Brother, a crescendo-building indie folk anthem. Brother is accompanied by a light-hearted performance-based music video, as the band is constantly interrupted by the aforementioned brother brilliantly spliced with sweet, nostalgic footage from their childhood. They have also recently released their new album ‘Into The Great Unknown’ and announced the first leg of their national regional tour, kicking off with their Victorian show dates through March, April and May, featuring shows at The Espy on April 24 and The Corner Hotel on April 30, their first headline shows in Melbourne in over twelve months.

Written and performed for years before they finally put it down in the studio, Brother displays the anthemic build and crescendo for which Pierce Brothers have become known during their live performances. Opening with a quiet, reverb heavy and overdriven acoustic guitar, the track soon delves through rich harmonies, as drums and percussion are slowly introduced throughout the hook-laden chorus. The tune then kicks it into the next gear with the drop of the electric guitar solo before jumping up the octave and galloping to the final verse and chorus. Produced by Jan Skubiszewski (John Butler, The Cat Empire), mixed by Phil Threlfall (Illy, Ed Sheeran), and mastered by Joe Carra at Crystal Mastering (The Teskey Brothers, The Cat Empire), Brother is a slow burn anthem that leads to the kind of massive payoff that the Pierce Brothers have dedicated their careers to performing, and will have fans of Lumineers and Mumford and Sons jumping and singing by the final chorus.

Filmed by Dara Munnis (Tash Sultana, Teskey Brothers) and directed by Patrick Pierce himself, the music video for Brother sees a delightfully playful take on sibling rivalry, cut up with old home footage of the brothers as children, in a song that seeks to emphasise the importance of family. “We wanted to juxtapose the earnestness of the song with a bit of a piss-take,“ explains Pat, “we went in there with the intention of playing the whole thing straight, but then when Justin (our older brother) said he could drop in, we thought it would just be way funnier if we tried to do an honest-to-God straight performance, and he just walks through and messes it up for us. We couldn’t stop laughing at the thought of it so we figured, why not?? ”

Brother is the fourth track to be released from Pierce Brothers much anticipated sophomore album Into The Great Unknown, out now. Recorded at Jan Skubiszewski’s Red Moon Studios in Gisborne between the two Victorian lockdowns in 2020, the new album explores previously uncharted territory for the twins. “With strings arrangements, female backing vocals, and larger performances than we’ve ever done in the studio, this album is striving to be something grander than what has come before,” says Jack, “the lack of endless touring paved the way for a deeply thought-out experience.”

Along with their new single, the brothers have released a run of Victorian regional dates to coincide with the release of the new album. With borders opening, expect new shows added to the already stacked Victorian tour run. “In 2021 we’re planning on an entire regional Australia run!” Pat tells us, “but the problem is that if we announce tickets too far in advance, there’s risk of border closures between the announce and the date of the gig. We want to avoid all postponing/cancellations of shows so this year it’s announce and GO!”
