PIERCE BROTHERS SHARE NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO ‘BROTHER’ FROM UPCOMING ALBUM ‘INTO THE GREAT UNKNOWN’ SET FOR RELEASE MARCH 5 + ANNOUNCE VICTORIAN REGIONAL TOUR
Pierce Brothers have shared their single Brother, a crescendo-building indie folk anthem. Brother is accompanied by a light-hearted performance-based music video, as the band is constantly interrupted by the aforementioned brother brilliantly spliced with sweet, nostalgic footage from their childhood. They have also recently released their new album ‘Into The Great Unknown’ and announced the first leg of their national regional tour, kicking off with their Victorian show dates through March, April and May, featuring shows at The Espy on April 24 and The Corner Hotel on April 30, their first headline shows in Melbourne in over twelve months.
Written and performed for years before they finally put it down in the studio, Brother displays the anthemic build and crescendo for which Pierce Brothers have become known during their live performances. Opening with a quiet, reverb heavy and overdriven acoustic guitar, the track soon delves through rich harmonies, as drums and percussion are slowly introduced throughout the hook-laden chorus. The tune then kicks it into the next gear with the drop of the electric guitar solo before jumping up the octave and galloping to the final verse and chorus. Produced by Jan Skubiszewski (John Butler, The Cat Empire), mixed by Phil Threlfall (Illy, Ed Sheeran), and mastered by Joe Carra at Crystal Mastering (The Teskey Brothers, The Cat Empire), Brother is a slow burn anthem that leads to the kind of massive payoff that the Pierce Brothers have dedicated their careers to performing, and will have fans of Lumineers and Mumford and Sons jumping and singing by the final chorus.
Filmed by Dara Munnis (Tash Sultana, Teskey Brothers) and directed by Patrick Pierce himself, the music video for Brother sees a delightfully playful take on sibling rivalry, cut up with old home footage of the brothers as children, in a song that seeks to emphasise the importance of family. “We wanted to juxtapose the earnestness of the song with a bit of a piss-take,“ explains Pat, “we went in there with the intention of playing the whole thing straight, but then when Justin (our older brother) said he could drop in, we thought it would just be way funnier if we tried to do an honest-to-God straight performance, and he just walks through and messes it up for us. We couldn’t stop laughing at the thought of it so we figured, why not?? ”
Brother is the fourth track to be released from Pierce Brothers much anticipated sophomore album Into The Great Unknown, out now. Recorded at Jan Skubiszewski’s Red Moon Studios in Gisborne between the two Victorian lockdowns in 2020, the new album explores previously uncharted territory for the twins. “With strings arrangements, female backing vocals, and larger performances than we’ve ever done in the studio, this album is striving to be something grander than what has come before,” says Jack, “the lack of endless touring paved the way for a deeply thought-out experience.”
Along with their new single, the brothers have released a run of Victorian regional dates to coincide with the release of the new album. With borders opening, expect new shows added to the already stacked Victorian tour run. “In 2021 we’re planning on an entire regional Australia run!” Pat tells us, “but the problem is that if we announce tickets too far in advance, there’s risk of border closures between the announce and the date of the gig. We want to avoid all postponing/cancellations of shows so this year it’s announce and GO!”

AMY SHARK ANNOUNCES 2021 HEADLINE TOUR + WINS ARIAS FOR ‘BEST AUSTRALIAN LIVE ACT’ & ‘BEST POP RELEASE’ + SHARES NEW TRACK ‘ALL THE LIES ABOUT ME’ + ANNOUNCES SOPHOMORE ALBUM ‘CRY FOREVER’ FOR APRIL 30, 2021 RELEASE
Homegrown multi ARIA award winning, singer-songwriter Amy Shark has today announced a massive headline tour of Australia in June/July 2021 in support of her highly anticipated sophomore album, CRY FOREVER, set for release April 30, 2021 and available to pre-order now. Shark’s national CRY FOREVER tour will be the Gold Coast local’s most ambitious live undertaking yet in some of the largest venues Australia has to offer, and to celebrate the announcement, she’s today shared a new tune from the album, ‘All the Lies About Me’. The tour will kick off at Qudos Bank Arena (Sydney) on June 12, before moving through to Rod Laver Arena (Melbourne) on June 18, Wrest Point Lawns (Hobart) June 19, HOTA (Gold Coast) June 25, Riverstage (Brisbane) June 26, Adelaide Entertainment Centre July 1 and will finish up in Perth at RAC Arena on July 3. Tickets go on sale Friday 11 December at 10am local time and are available from www.amyshark.com.
Amy Shark sold in excess of 45,000 tickets in 2019 across her metro and regional tours, with her regional tour last week picking up the ARIA for ‘Best Australian Live Act’, paired with her ARIA win for ‘Best Pop Release’ for ‘Everybody Rise’. The CRY FOREVER tour will see Shark level up, rolling out world class production and musicianship as she brings her anticipated new album to life in arenas across Australia.
No stranger to the big stage, Amy Shark has headlined many major festivals, along with winning over the entire stadium at Fire Fight and wowing a huge national audience with her recent NRL Grand Final appearance. Guaranteed to delight fans across Australia, this career defining must-see tour promises to feature stand out performances of songs from the critically acclaimed LOVE MONSTER album, fan faves from the NIGHT THINKER EP and of course brand new music from CRY FOREVER including ARIA winning, platinum accredited ‘Everybody Rise’ which is nearing 20 million streams globally and spent 12 weeks in the top 10 Australian airplay chart.
“I am so proud of this album and it’s time to hand these songs over to the fans,” says Shark. “To announce a tour of this size, after the year we have been through, gives me hope that the world is heading back to normality. I will give every show every part of me, this is going to be massive and I am counting down the days to perform.”
CRY FOREVER is the follow up to Amy Shark’s 2018 #1 ARIA Album Of The Year, LOVE MONSTER and is available to pre-order now via Wonderlick/Sony Music Entertainment. Written and recorded between the US, UK, New Zealand and Shark’s home studio on the Gold Coast, her exceptional songwriting is on full display here, co-producing with A-List producers: Dann Hume (ARIA 2018 & 2019 Producer Of The year), M-Phazes (Ruel, Eminem), Joel Little (Lorde, Taylor Swift), Jamie Hartman (Lewis Capaldi, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man), Dan Wilson (Adele, Leon Bridges) and Sammy Witte (Harry Styles, King Princess). CRY FOREVER will also see Shark team up with Grammy award winning artist Keith Urban following on from her latest collaboration with Blink 182’s Travis Barker on new single, ‘C’MON’.
Through Shark’s honest and emotional storytelling, CRY FOREVER is set to be an evolution from her debut album LOVE MONSTER, “I am now a more confident musician and person than the Amy of 2018, and I feel like I am ready to share some moments from my life that I wasn’t previously ok to talk about, ” says Shark, “These are some of the most personal and confronting songs I’ve ever written, and I can’t wait to share them with everyone.” And to celebrate the album and tour announcement, Shark has dropped a new track, ‘All The Lies About Me’, featuring her trademark soaring vocals, powerful lyrics and acoustic guitar. “This song is me at my most confused, broken and lonely. It’s not easy hearing things about yourself that simply aren’t true. Sometimes the noise gets too loud so I had to write this song as it’s the only way I can talk.”
Amy Shark has come a long way since her breakthrough single Adore. As shared on her Instagram account – in just a few years she has gone from moving 82 tickets in her home state of Queensland, to selling out arena-sized venues all across the country. After bursting on to the global music scene in 2016, her 5 x Platinum single ‘Adore’ put her on the map as one of Australia’s most formidable emerging songwriters. This was followed by 4 x Platinum and number one Australian Airplay Chart hit, ‘I Said Hi’ and the 2019 2 x platinum single ‘Mess Her Up’. Shark’s debut/breakthrough #1 ARIA album and Platinum-certified LOVE MONSTER was recognised in 2018 with four ARIA awards (Album of the Year, Best Female Artist, Best Pop Release, Best Producer [Dann Hume]) and was nominated for another five. LOVE MONSTER went on to become the highest selling album by an Australian artist for 2018.
Undoubtedly, 2021 is poised to be an even bigger year for Amy Shark with the release of her sophomore record and national CRY FOREVER tour.
CRY FOREVER is set for release on April 30, 2021 and is available to pre-order now via Wonderlick/Sony Music Entertainment Australia.
The CRY FOREVER tour will be held with a commitment to a COVID Safe environment. TEG LIVE will work closely with and comply with all requirements of the public health authorities in respect of these shows.

SARAH MCLEOD ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE KILLIN IT TIL I’M DEAD + NATIONAL SOLO ELECTRIC TOUR FOR APRIL + MAY
Aussie rock royalty Sarah McLeod has announced her new single Killin It Til I’m Dead, an absolute firecracker of a song about undying, unwavering confidence, out now. Killin It Til I’m Dead is the product of an ingenious new songwriting podcast Hatjam from Eskimo Joe’s Kav Temperley, on which Sarah was a guest and voila, the song was born. To celebrate the release, Sarah will be hitting the road in April and May, kicking off in Geelong at The Workers Club on April 2, then moving through regional and metropolitan cities in Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and New South Wales, wrapping up on May 2 at The Vanguard in Newtown, NSW.
Killin It Til I’m Dead is another classic cut from Sarah Mcleod, who first found fame in the late 1990s with 3X ARIA Award winning rock band The Superjesus. The wonderfully unique thing about this song is that fans can listen in on its conception, from beginning to end, on Hatjam. Inspired by Kim Wilde’s Kids In America, Sarah explains a little more about the songwriting process, saying, “Hatjam is a live songwriting game in which the guest and Kav write a song on the spot while being recorded for the podcast. I was Kav’s first guest and appeared on episode one . Killin It Till I’m Dead was the fruit of our labour. It’s a comedic look at using self-generated confidence to overcome the blues. You can hear the song being written from scratch on the podcast – amazing!”
Sarah will be performing solo on her extensive upcoming tour, and this powerhouse and self-confessed lover of touring has some seriously impressive plans for the shows, explaining, “Last year I put a unique show together for the Melbourne Guitar Festival. I had designed a guitar that plays bass as well, and curated a show around the new sound using triggers to create a full band sound. I love the idea of being able to put on a rock show totally solo – maybe it’s because I’m a self-confessed sonic power freak but I love the challenge of trying to do everything by myself. Fans of the softer acoustic numbers won’t be disappointed though, as I throw in a couple for diversity. It’s a very dynamic show. Killin It Til I’m Dead was not written with a release in mind, but it fit so well in my new electric set, so I decided to take it on the road and make it part of the family. I’m really excited to break away from the solo acoustic thing and stand up and rock a one-woman full production show. What’s the worst that can happen? I’ve already toured with a broken leg!”
