FISHER’S OUT 2 LUNCH FESTIVAL WITH VODAFONE BREATHES NEW LIFE BACK INTO THE GOLD COAST + INJECTS $54 MILLION INTO LOCAL ECONOMY
Gold Coast, Queensland – Monday May 5 – After a sensational debut in 2024, the OUT 2 LUNCH Festival with Vodafone, presented by TEG LIVE and global superstar, FISHER, made a triumphant return on the weekend, transforming Broadwater Parklands into a vibrant celebration of music and community. More than 30,000 fans from across the country flocked to the Gold Coast for the ultimate long weekend of festival fun, offering a much-needed energy and economic boost to the region as it continues to recover from Cyclone Alfred.
The two-day sell-out event not only delivered electrifying performances but also had a sensational impact on the local economy:
- $54 million injected into the region
- 1,500 jobs created
- Over 200 local businesses engaged
- Accommodation sold out across the city
Additionally, spearheaded by the Fishers, OUT 2 LUNCH is making a name for itself as a philanthropic event, once again donating $1 from each ticket sold to charity and $20 donated from each guest list/comp ticket, this year raising over $30,000 for Make A Wish Foundation.
The economic injection has been just what the Gold Coast needed, with Southport Chamber of Commerce President Trevor Bruger saying, “Major events like the Out 2 Lunch Festival deliver real and measurable value to Southport’s business community. They drive foot traffic, increase local spending and provide exposure that money can’t buy.”
With all-new production and an unprecedented double headline slot from FISHER, backed by a fully stacked lineup of international heavyweights Chris Lake, Patrick Topping, DJ Boring, and Noizu, along with local legends Hayden James, Little Fritter, Shimmy, Jake Smith, Out 2 Lunch 2025 delivered one of the biggest dance events the Gold Coast has ever seen, despite the cyclone damage requiring the festival to relocate from Surfers Paradise Beach to Broadwater Parklands.
“We were determined to keep Out to Lunch on the Gold Coast despite the challenges posed by the recent cyclone, and relocating to Broadwater Parklands has proven to be an inspired choice,” said TEG’s Head of Global Touring – Tim McGregor. “After the incredible response last year, we took a bold step and expanded to two days – a big move, but it clearly paid off, with tens of thousands pouring in over the weekend. Bringing some of the world’s biggest acts to this stunning spot has made for an unforgettable weekend – we couldn’t be prouder.”
A perfect amalgamation of all things sun, surf, music, and Aussie good vibes, OUT 2 LUNCH Festival with Vodafone proved why it is the hottest ticket in town, with FISHER and his mates raising the bar for 2025.

About FISHER
Known for his wild sense of humor and energetic DJing style, FISHER has become one of dance music’s most in-demand talents. Sending him into the spotlight, his breakout track ‘Losing It’ earned him his first Grammy nomination in 2019, now sitting at half a billion streams, cementing itself as one of the biggest dance records of the decade.
FISHER has cemented his iconic status in dance music, throwing some of the most iconic parties around the world. FISHER’s instantly recognizable brand and laughter are synonymous with an amazing time, and he continues to bring his iconic energy to whatever he turns to.
In 2023, FISHER released multiple hit records including ‘Take It Off’, the mega dance hit in collaboration with Aatig that achieved placement on BBC Radio 1 ‘B List’ Playlist and gained over 100 million streams on Spotify. FISHER’s following single ‘Atmosphere’ ft. Kita Alexander was one of the dance anthems of the summer after its explosion on TikTok, and was nominated for both ‘Song Of The Year’ and ‘Best Dance/Electronic Release’ at the 2024 AIRA Awards. FISHER also delivered a show-stealing headline performance at Coachella, alongside Chris Lake as part of their shared Under Construction moniker. This was followed by the pair’s viral three-hour show in October, on LA’s iconic Hollywood Blvd to 15,000 fans.
A huge year for them both, in 2024, FISHER and his wife Chloe Fisher welcomed the arrival of their beautiful baby girl, Bobbi Fisher. All the while, Fish kept the party popping, releasing ‘Somebody (2024)’ (143M streams) with Gotye, Kimbra, Chris Lake and Sante Sansone, a revamped take on the iconic 2011 Gotye hit ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’. In August, he teamed up with fellow Grammy-nominee, UK rapper Flowdan for the energising track, ‘Boost Up’ (15M streams), and then with indie dance duo AR/CO in November for their uplifting single, ‘Ocean’, a sun-soaked single just in time for Aussie summer.
2024 saw FISHER continue to captivate audiences, bringing his groundbreaking shows and contagious energy to the world, making major headline club and festival appearances in London, Manchester, New York, Miami, San Francisco and Mumbai, to name a few. He debuted his new project OUT 2 LUNCH Festival in his hometown of the Gold Coast (Clip HERE), selling 30,000 tickets, sold out San Francisco’s Cow Palace in March (Clip HERE) and packed out Brooklyn Navy Yard for three nights over the 4th of July. FISHER also held down two DJ residencies in 2024, at globally renowned nightclubs Hï in Ibiza and TAO in Las Vegas.
In 2025, Fisher will launch two exciting new residencies in Ibiza and Las Vegas, with details to be revealed soon. Additionally, he will bring back the highly anticipated OUT 2 LUNCH Festival for its second edition, building on the success of its debut in 2024.
