CONRAD SEWELL ANNOUNCES PART TWO OF FIRESTONE 10TH ANNIVERSARY ACOUSTIC TOUR
Currently touring the country as part of a huge 10th anniversary acoustic tour for his multi-platinum 2014 single Firestone, due to overwhelming demand Conrad Sewell has today announced an additional 13 shows slated for July and August, with the renowned Aussie singer-songwriter’s regional acoustic tour now extending into August, celebrating all of Sewell’s beloved hits in an intimate setting, and joined by René Le Feuvre supporting nationally.
Following his current April and May performances currently underway for part one of the Firestone 10th Anniversary acoustic sessions tour, part two will commence on July 4 in Geelong before moving to Mulgrave (VIC), Alice Springs (NT), Darwin (NT), Mt Evelyn (VIC), Cowes (VIC), Cairns (QLD), Townsville (QLD), Thornlie (WA), Kwinana Moora (WA) and Launceston (TAS), before finishing off in Hobart (TAS) on August 9. “The first run has been so much fun, the connection with the fans is on another level,” shares Sewell off the back of kicking off part one of the acoustic shows. “I’m very grateful that I get to do this with people from all corners of our country. The shows have been incredible! The crowds were so fun, I’ve never seen so much dancing for an acoustic set. There was a lot of great banter and interaction with the crowds. And one of my favourite parts of every show is heading over to the merch table after the show to meet those who chose to spend their Friday or Saturday night with me!”
Starting his musical journey at the age of 8, Conrad Sewell became a household name with his first official solo endeavour, teaming up with dynamic Norwegian DJ and producer Kygo for the 2014 smash hit Firestone; a track that has since gone on to generate over 1 billion streams on Spotify alone and opened the door for Sewell to open arenas for the likes of Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5 and Jess Glynne. Since then, Sewell has never looked back, going on to secure a #1 charting and Platinum certified single via 2015’s Star Again, which also took home the ARIA Music Award for Song of the Year, before going on to release two studio albums, tour the globe extensively, all while continuing to enamour with his soulful approach to pop music that is authentic as it is memorable.
While the future certainly looks bright for Sewell, his 2025 homage to the song that changed everything a decade ago with these extensive and intimate acoustic tours is a perfect chance for reflection and connection, as Sewell elaborates, “In 2025, I’m someone who finally understands why he is doing this. Someone who knows his strengths and weaknesses and is hungrier than ever to make the most out of this crazy journey he’s on. Conrad Sewell in 2025 is motivated.”
“With these regional tours, what’s excited me most is connecting with the fans singing these songs in a stripped back way,” Sewell adds. “I’m excited to play these songs of mine in a way that I’ve never had the chance to. A lot of them were written acoustically, so to be able to strip them back to their essence feels awesome. Seeing the fans connecting with, and singing these songs back to me, when performed in their rawest form, is super special, too.”
And good news for Conrad Sewell fans because it isn’t only live performances hitting every corner of the country on the cards this year; there’s also some brand new music on the horizon ready to stun, as Sewell reveals, “New music is right around the corner. There’s a bunch of collaborations incoming that I can’t wait for everyone to hear. I’m working with artists from dance music, hip-hop and everything in-between. The next release is with 360 for his upcoming album, the song is called ‘Someone Else’s Dime’, I can’t wait for everyone to hear what we’ve cooked up!”
